The Canny Comic Con in Newcastle was a smashing success. – It lived up to its name and was as ‘canny’ as it could have been. My highlights of the day were the two walk-in-workshops I gave. There was no lack of active kids crowding the table with much enthusiasm and oozing creativity …and their parents, of [...] Monster Madness with Ingi. A fun drop-in workshop for kids of all ages, at the Canny Comic Con in Newcastle, running at 10.30-11.30 and 2.00-3.00 outside the Bewick Hall Dr.Ewill is in need of a laboratory assistant and being the crazy scientist he is, he decides to make his own – but he needs your help [...] Our Monsters were on the menu for the younger ones and the older drew Manga characters. That bloke with the cap and orange t-shirt is a brilliant illustration of Ingi by Lucas. Ingi spent Saturday at the California Youth Center is Eston, via Club Creative, teaching two groups from the Main Project how to draw monsters and come up with their own cartoon characters. The kids were very creative and great fun to work with! Please feel free to download and print this Monster Maze and help Frankfurter the CatDog find Doc Ewill’s brainjar. Doc lost it as he was wandering this horrible monster maze so he sent Frankfurter to fetch it for him …because he’s too scared to do it himself, not that he’ll admit it. Doc Ewill and Frankfurter [...] The creative kids at St Mary’s in Long Newton have been helping Doctor Ewill come up with some great monsters. We’ve seen monsters that shoot slime and horrible creepy crawlies that would scare Frankenstein himself! After half term we will continue our Monster Madness and see what Doctor Ewill will come up with next!! Activity organized by [...] |
